Regulation

★★★★☆ 4/5

For over two decades, Regulation.co.uk has been a bedrock of the UK fetish scene. This homegrown brand designs and manufactures latex clothing and gear with a clear focus: masculine, functional, and unapologetically sexual rubber for men. While their appeal spans the broader fetish community, they’ve cultivated a particularly devoted following among gay rubber enthusiasts and the skinhead/rubber crossover crowd.

From the moment you land on their site, the scope is unmistakable. Alongside the usual store sections - clothing, BDSM, sex toys, better sex, gifts, brands, sale, and poppers - you’re met with dedicated category icons that read like a fetishist’s wish list: bondage, ass play, rubber, chastity, fisting, leather, CBT, punishment, electro sex, pup play, sports, nipple play, watersports, sounding, medical play, and master/slave dynamics. In short, if it’s part of the gay fetish landscape, Regulation likely has it in stock.

My hands-on experience

I recently picked up their Rubber Skinhead Bundle - a fitted rubber polo, matching skinhead pants with full-zip access, and braces - and overall, I’m impressed.

The rubber sits in that sweet spot of mid-tier thickness: substantial enough to deliver that satisfying, encasing feel, yet flexible and comfortable to wear. The pants are a standout - robust seams, smooth-running zippers, and a classic skinhead cut that nails both look and function.

The polo shirt is equally strong in fit and style. It's cut to flatter the chest and arms with a distinctly masculine silhouette, though I have to say - I really would've loved a two-button placket, just like the real Fred Perry polos. It's such a signature skinhead detail, and it feels like a missed opportunity here. Maybe they opted for a single button to keep the rubber more durable and less prone to stress around the placket - which I can understand from a practical standpoint—but still, that classic two-button look would've been the cherry on top. That said, I did run into one hiccup: the collar detached after just a few wears. I tried gluing it back twice, but it wouldn't hold. Honestly, I'm not complaining - rubber pieces can be temperamental, and this kind of thing happens. In fact, I liked the shirt enough to order a replacement polo separately. That should tell you how highly I still rate the piece.
